She works as a secretary which requires organisational talent - one of her many qualities. Having gone through a variety of folk bands where she managed to assume several key roles at once (singer, lyricist, bandleader and manager) like a hot knife through butter, she turned to photography, and without bothering with the beginner's stages, commenced to produce pictures of remarkable appeal and beauty. Their strength lies in an author's viewpoint unburdened by any agenda as well as in a sense for composition and atmosphere going, in I.M.'s case, to the very boundaries of instinct. She knows how to sell to the viewer supremely poetic and playful contents in the rough external form that she so securely mastered, and she does so without touching the borderlines of being an end in itself or of bad taste. Her photographs are an experience for the public at large, and a discovery for connoisseurs.

Irena Motlikova, a 32 years old secretary, started with photography as a singer taking pictures of her colleagues and friends by a digital compact camera at various folk festivals. She put her photographs to articles in folk magazines and web pages on musical themes.
At the end of 2003 she got acquainted with www.photopost.cz, which resulted in replacing the digital compact camera by a reflex camera. She tries to think more about her photos. In the present period of color photography her black and white creation is fascinating not only by its processing but especially by its content! She likes to create new portraits of people. Thus everyone interested in posing for her here is your chance. However, if you are expecting a classical, simple and sightly picture, she is a wrong person.
